Dinas Affaraon : The Palace of Illusion

In which we consider the supposed group of Magicians, Priests, Alchemists and Druids known as the Pheryllt and their fabled dwelling place known as Dinas Affaron.
We are told that there was an ancient group of Priests, Magicians, Alchemists and, well, Druids, called the Pheryllt. Their “magical” city is also known as “the city of higher powers,” or the “ambrosial city.” — Dinas Affaron.
We will look at the idea of the ‘ambrosial city’ a little later, but for now let us focus on Dinas Affron and the Pheryllt.
There is reference in some old texts to The Book of Pheryllt which is mentioned in the 16th Century manuscript Hanes Talisien in which we read that Cerridwen was knowledgeable about Gelfyddyd Llyfrau Pheryllt — roughly translated as the Art and Books of Pheryllt.
This led at least one writer on Druidry to proclaim the existence of an ‘ancient Druidic text’ and suggest that it represented texts brought to these islands by refugees from Atlantis. More amazingly these immigrants are not only credited with skills in science, magic and the arts, but also were directly involved in the building of neolithic monuments such as Stonehenge.
